North Penn VNA is proud to offer CPR courses
online.
These courses are a great way to
save
time and get the CPR training you need. No
need to sit
for hours in a classroom. Course
material is provided on a
special website
sponsored by The American Heart Association
and
North Penn VNA.
We currently offer the following
courses online:
A Key Code is all you need to
access the
required reading materials, view videos that
demonstrate
techniques, questions to test your
knowledge and the final exam.
Once you have complete the
on-line CPR class,
you will need to come to the North Penn VNA
office to
demonstrate the skills you have learned
and to receive your
certification card immediately.
Below is a listing of the classes
that North Penn
VNA offers through its CPR online learning option.
Choose the class you need, and register and pay
through PayPal.
You can begin your course as
soon as you receive your Key Code from
the
North Penn VNA office via e-mail.
Information on how to access the
AHA website
and use your Key Code, as well as scheduling a
skills
check, will be included in the letter.
BLS Healthcare Provider
CPR
BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Renewal
This course is an ideal
option for healthcare
providers seeking an alternative to
traditional
classroom training in BLS and CPR techniques
for first-time or renewal
certification.
The Basic Life Support for
Healthcare Provider
Online course offers a flexible training option
for
busy healthcare professionals. The complete
course is
delivered in three parts. Part 1 delivers
the cognitive
learning through Web-based, self-
paced modules. Parts 2 and 3
require students
to meet with an American Heart Association
Instructor at North Penn VNA to complete a
hand-on skills practice session and a
skills test.
Upon successful completion of all three parts,
students receive their BLS for Healthcare
Provider Course Completion
Card.
Students renewing their BLS
for Healthcare
Provider certification are only required to do
Parts
1 and 3, the online reading and testing,
and the skills check at
North Penn VNA.
Heartsaver CPR and AED
The Heartsaver AED Course
teaches CPR,
AED use, and relief of choking in adults and
children.
It also teaches CPR and relief of
choking in infants, and use of
barrier devices
for all ages. This class meets the requirements
for
those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac
emergency because of
job responsibilities or
regulatory requirements where you must have
a
credential (card) documenting successful
completion of a CPR
course.
The complete course is delivered in three parts.
Part 1 delivers the cognitive learning through Web-
based, self-paced
modules. Parts 2 and 3 require
students to meet with an
American Heart
Association Instructor at North Penn VNA to
complete a hand-on skills practice session and a
skills test. Upon successful completion of all three
parts,
students receive their Heartsaver CPR and
AED Course Completion
Card valid for 2 years.
Heartsaver First Aid
This course teaches rescuers
the knowledge
and skills they need to recognize
medical,
injury and environmental emergencies at the
worksite. Receive training
in first aid,
adult
CPR and use of an automated external
defibrillator (AED). This class meets OSHA
regulations.
The complete course is delivered in two parts.
Part 1 delivers the cognitive learning through Web-
based, self-paced
modules. Parts 2 require
students to meet with an American
Heart
Association Instructor at North Penn VNA to
complete a hand-on
skills practice session and a
skills test. Upon successful
completion of all parts,
students receive their Course Completion
Card.
