    Meals on Wheels
The North Penn VNA Meals on Wheels program provides two
nutritious meals a day - a hot lunch and cold evening supper - to
homebound people in the community.  This program is available to
homebound persons 18 and older who are unable to shop for food
or prepare meals because of a disability, temporary illness, or
     weakness following hospitalization.

Volunteers work in the North Penn VNA kitchen each morning,
preparing and packing food. Volunteers make deliveries five days
     a week.

Anyone can make a referral to Meals on Wheels.  The Meals on
Wheels coordinator will make an evaluation of the person's
eligibility for the program and determine the cost based on the
participant's ability to pay (sliding scale).

Meals on Wheels receives funds from the North Penn United Way,
Montgomery County Aging and Adult Services and individual
donations. Donations of all sizes are gratefully accepted, and they
are tax deductible. To apply for Meals of Wheels, make a referral,
or if you are interested in volunteering, please call 215-855-6016.
